Sam Poole

Instructor

Originally from Salt Lake City, Sam moved to LA to follow her passion for acting. Sam discovered her love for Pilates after the loss of her father. “Pilates became an active and healthy way to strengthen and heal my mind and body”. While the journey was unexpected, Sam decided to pursue her Pilates certification to share her passion with others. Sam strives to create a comfortable and inclusive atmosphere. Her classes and sessions are warm, caring and have a happy energy to guide you towards a healthier you!

When she isn’t practicing Pilates, Sam enjoys reading, watching tv/film, and spending time with loved ones including her cats, Milo and Penny. Sam is also a local bartender in the valley and loves a good New York Sour!

Sam is in her final stages of her Pilates certification and is teaching as an apprentice instructor.

New to Pilate-ology?

Here Are Some Frequently Asked Questions

I’m new to Pilates/Reformer. Can I start with any class?

We recommend starting with our Back to Basics class or a Private Session. Jumping into an advanced class too soon can disrupt the flow and increase your risk of injury. If you’re managing chronic pain, recovering from an injury, or are pre/post-natal, a Private Session is required before joining group classes.

All group classes are booked online through our website at Pilate-ology.com. You’ll need to create an account and prepay for all classes and services. Please note we don’t accept reservations or cancellations via phone, email, or text, and we can’t take walk-ins.

If a class is full, you may join the waitlist. You’ll only be added to a class 12 hours or more before it starts, so please check your schedule online to see if you’ve been added — notifications aren’t guaranteed. You’re responsible for any class charges once added from the waitlist.

To request a Private or Duet Session, click here to fill out our appointment form. We’ll confirm or suggest alternative times within 24 hours via email. Please ensure you have an active account with a credit card on file — all sessions must be prepaid at the time of confirmation.

Grippy socks are required for all classes and sessions (available for purchase at Pilate-ology). Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing — but please avoid short shorts, zippers, or jewelry, as they can damage equipment. If damage occurs, you may be responsible for repair or replacement. Don’t forget your water bottle to stay hydrated!

Practicing twice a week helps you maintain strength and balance, while three or more times per week will bring noticeable changes in your body. Pilates is gentle enough for daily practice, but consistency — not intensity — is the real key to results.

We understand that life happens — but please remember that class reservations are made at your own risk. Our 12-hour online cancellation policy applies to all classes.

Parking can be limited, so allow extra time to arrive. We offer no reserved parking; you’ll find meters on Ventura Blvd. and free parking one block south on Valley Vista.

There’s a 5-minute grace period for all classes. After that, your spot may be given to someone on standby. Late arrivals beyond 5 minutes won’t be permitted for safety reasons and will be marked as no-shows.

If you have a Monthly Membership, your classes are added to your account when your auto-payment processes. You can book up until the day before your next payment — not beyond — and unused classes don’t roll over.

For 6-Month Memberships, all classes are added at once, and you can book up to 30 days in advance. If you finish your classes early, you may wait for the next billing cycle, purchase additional sessions, or email us to renew early.

We offer freezes only on Monthly and 6-Month Memberships. You can review our full policy here. Class packages, private, or duet sessions are not eligible for freezes at this time.

If you’re new to our studio, recently joined through ClassPass, or haven’t attended in 90+ days, you’ll need to start with a Private Session before joining group classes. Your instructor will assess your readiness and guide you through safe modifications.

Regular clients who become pregnant can continue attending group classes but must schedule one private session per trimester to learn trimester-specific modifications. Please note that clients unaware of this policy will be unable to join class upon arrival, and the session will be forfeited.
